The junior high and high school flex period schedule has been changed for this year. All junior high students must attend flex period from 7:50-8:20. High school students have a little more flexibility.
Students in grades 9-12 must attend flex period from 7:55-8:25 if:
- A teacher requests their attendance;
- The student has 5 or more tardies during the semester; or
- The student's attendance falls below 90% in any class period during the semester.
A student that fails to show up for an assigned flex period will make up the time with after-school tutoring at the teacher's choice. Failure to attend the after-school tutoring would result in one day of ISD (in-school detention).
High school students must be in class when first hour begins at 8:35, regardless of whether they attended flex. High school breakfast is served from 8:25-8:35, so students that want breakfast will need to be at school by 8:25.
All students that are on campus during flex period will attend a class. This includes bus riders and students who walk to school. Students are not allowed to leave campus at any time after they have arrived on campus.
