Dear Yale Students and Parents,
Beginning Monday, April 6, students in grades 6-12 may find lessons from their teachers at www.yale.k12.ok.us. We hope that all students can access these materials by using either their computer or phone. Students may use their phones to take pictures of the assignment and the attached resources. Completed assignments can be returned by taking a picture of the completed work and emailing that back to the appropriate teacher. All teacher emails can be found on the same website.
We realize that there may be some students that do not have internet connectivity, and if your student needs an alternate method for receiving their assignments, please contact Mr. Kennedy at 918-855-1993 (cell) or email@example.com (email). Please call between the hours of 9:00-3:00 Monday-Thursday. We will do our best during this difficult time to help everyone.
For students in grades PK-5th, work and assignments will be delivered to the student’s mailbox to the address on file on Monday, April 6th. If your student does not ride a bus, we are expanding our routes to deliver all student packets. If we have questions or concerns about your address or where to deliver, we will be contacting you soon. We will start our bus routes by one o’clock on Monday.
These packets will contain everything your student will need to complete the school year. Teachers are working diligently this week to put together the packet, provide resources, and determine a way to communicate weekly with your family. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. We want to thank you all for being patient with us and understanding we are all learning during this time.
We understand that there are a lot of personal effects at the high school and elementary buildings, we are working on a plan for students to be able to retrieve those items. We do not have a permanent plan at this time.
We want our students to continue to learn and grow; however, we realize that these are difficult times for everyone. All we can ask for is your students best effort with all things being considered. Your child's grade will not go any lower than what it was on our last day of school on March 13, 2020. Any completed assignments can only raise your child's grade. We do not want anyone worrying about grades, we are more concerned with maintaining and trying to build academic growth. Take care of your family and make the best out of the current situation.
We miss you,
Rocky Kennedy, Yale JH and HS Principal
Emily Nickell, Yale Elementary Principal
