YPS is keeping an eye on the wintry weather forecast for early tomorrow morning. As a precaution, packets are being sent home with students today. If the packets are not needed, please return them with your students on Wednesday.

Yale High School varsity basketball games with Glencoe will be moved to Monday, February 10. The girls game will start at 6:00 followed by the boys game.

Yale Public Schools will host a town hall meeting on Tuesday, February 18 at 6:00 in Homer Ray Gymnasium to discuss the upcoming bond proposal. School leaders, architects, construction managers, and the bond company will all be present. Please make plans to attend with any questions that you might have. KIDS CHEER CAMP UPDATE!!!!
Attached is the JH/HS class schedule for virtual days. Students have the option to attend either the morning option or the afternoon option. They do not have to attend both times.
Due to large numbers of ill students and staff, Yale Public Schools will be virtual for the remainder of the week, Wed—Fri, January 28-31. Additional cleaning will be done to try and slow the spread of germs. All extra-curricular activities will be postponed for the week.
2025-2026 Cheer tryout packets are available at the High School office!
Due to a high number of illness tonight’s high school basketball games at Woodland have been postponed.
YPS would like to thank everyone that participated in our calendar survey for the 2025-2026 school year. We would like to take a moment to share the results with you.
There were 112 responses from the community. 77 people voted for the 4 day school week after Christmas Break. This was almost 69% in favor of this calendar. 35 individuals (31%) voted for the traditional calendar.
There were some questions asked that we would like to clarify and answer. The Friday's off after break are not virtual days. They are true days out of school. The planned or built in virtual days have been removed in favor of in-class days. Any days missed would have to be made up as virtual learning days.
Several people asked about a 4 day week for the entire school year. This is something that would require further research and discussion. We will plan on moving forward with the 4 day weeks after Christmas Break and see how it works out next year. If it goes well and there is definite interest from the community, we will look at a 4 day calendar for the full school year.
