FREE AND REDUCED MEAL APPLICATIONS Free and reduced meal applications are available for current Yale students. PLEASE NOTE: Congress has not extended free meal waivers for the 2022-2023 school year, which means that meals WILL NOT be free for all students. Those who wish to qualify for free and reduced meal prices MUST submit a new application. The interactive form can be found our the district website under documents, child nutrition tab. Once the application is complete, please print, sign and drop off at the district office located at 315 E Chicago to Sara Pitts. We encourage all parent/guardians to complete the application even if you feel you do not qualify, as it helps with federal grants/funding. If you are new to the district the form can not be completed until your child(ren) are enrolled. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

There will be a short meeting on Monday morning, July 11, at 8:30 in the new gym for any junior high and high school girl that is interested in playing volleyball this coming year.

Love INC of Greater Cushing is kicking off their annual Back to School Program. This annual program is a great opportunity for students to get a brand new back pack filled will all of the school supplies specified by their school. To qualify for the program parents/guardians only need to provide documentation for proof of residence, income-based need, and a birth certificate for each child participating. We would like to host a short informational meeting for this coming year’s juniors and seniors. The meeting will be held on Thursday, June 23 at 5:30 in the Multipurpose Building. We’ll discuss prom, Sr. Nights, and possible procedural changes. Junior/Senior students and parents are welcome to attend.

Congratulations Go out to Mr. Fuss and the Yale FFA program!! They were awarded with a Lottery Grant for the 2022-23 school year. This grant comes from Career Tech. The grant amount is for $14,912.90. It will be used to purchase new fume extractors for the Ag shop as well as 20 chromebooks for the Ag classroom.

Summer Enrichment students and parents- paintings are dry and ready to be picked up at the Yale Library! We’d really love for our students to have their art work. Please stop by and pick up your painting!

For those students that attended our Summer Enrichment Program, the City Library and City Pool will be offering their programs today from 12-3. Also, students that have items at school or at the library can pick those items up Monday from 9-2.

Yale High School Cheer 2022-2023 Information: We have been contacted by a couple of girls who would like to cheer and will be moving in to Yale next year. We only take a limited number of cheerleaders for our high school squad. That being said, we have 3 spots on our high school cheer squad. If your child is not currently a Yale student and plans to attend Yale for the 22-23 school year in grades 9-12 and would like to be on the cheer squad, please email Jessica Crowe at jcrowe@yale.k12.ok.us. We will take emails until 8:00 PM on May 31st. If more than 3 girls are interested, we will draw names for the 3 we will take. We are gearing up for our NCA summer team camp. All camp money is due tomorrow, June 1, 2022. $101 will cover their camp costs and camp outfits. If camp dues are not paid to Sara (at the high school) by noon on June 1st, your child will not attend team camp.

Summer Enrichment - Our Yale Public Library has been an amazing partner in our program this year as well! One project was to read "If I Built a Car" by Chris Van Duesen, along with several books about the creation of Legos. After students were challenged to build something that would float, a maze for a marble, a robot, a spaceship and a castle. The library has many other great projects planned as well. It's been a great first two weeks!

Summer Enrichment - the Yale Pool is working with our enrichment program this year! With a rainy start, today was the first day our students were able to get into the water. They worked on safety skills for the first day.

Summer Enrichment- 4 Bar Roundup Club and Yale FFA teamed up for todays activity where students learned to make homemade butter!
