Parents of 6th-12 Grade students’
We know that there are a lot of questions regarding the distance training day. We would like to address a few of them at this time. If you have questions other than what I address here, then please call or email me and I will be happy to answer those as well. Rkennedy@yale.k12.ok.us
We believe that it would best to attempt a one day trial training before the need for a longer closure could arise. Hopefully we will not need to use the distance learning platform, but we do want to be as prepared as possible.
Please visit with your children about their google classroom accounts. Teachers have been working with your children for the past 12 school days to help them better understand how it works and how it can be accessed at home. Google classroom can be accessed from just about any device that has an internet connection. Cell phones are not ideal, but most can be used if that is what is available.
We are going to approach this training day as if everyone has full access to google classroom at home. We realize that 100% capability isn’t realistic. We need a starting point, and we didn’t want to underestimate anyone’s capabilities. Students that are capable of logging in and completing the assignments will be counted present and given credit for their completed work. Students that are not capable of logging in will be counted absent for the day; however, upon returning to school on Tuesday, they will be given the opportunity to complete the work and have the absence removed. We do not intend for this training to be punitive, but rather informative.
Students will be sent home with a schedule of when their teachers will be conducting google meets. These meets will only last about 10 minutes each. If you have multiple students using one device, please have each student attend as many meets as they can.
Thank you for your cooperation.

We are experiencing no water at all our buildings. Lunches have been served across the district. We are working to get water for drinking and only allowing emergency bathroom breaks. You are more than welcome to pick up your child without consequence. We will dismiss and run buses at the normal time.

Mrs. Cox's Algebra 1 class has started a math project measuring plant growth to help students learn about charting and line of best fit.

Yale Schools had an amazing first 2 days of school. We would like to thank all parents, students, and staff for all of their understanding, flexibility, and compassion as we navigate the start of school. Working together will allow us to best meet our students needs

High school volleyball today at home at 5:00. Face coverings are required for admittance. Gate is $4.00 for adults and $3.00 for students and seniors. Come support our Lady Bulldogs!!

Yale JH/HS is excited to welcome our students back to the building tomorrow morning. We want to make sure that students in grades 6-12 know to wear a face covering, bring their own water bottles or cups with screw on lids, all students must have their temperature taken before entering the building, and that the tardy bell rings at 7:50 in the morning. Let’s make the most of our opportunities!!

Yale Elementary - We are so excited for school to start tomorrow. While there are lots of changes, we are trying to make adjustments for an enjoyable school year. At this time, only staff and students will be allowed into the building, even with a mask we are asking that parents do not enter the building in the morning. We understand that this will be more difficult for Pre-K and K students, so we have opened those outside classroom doors to allow parents to "walk them to class." Unfortunately, we are unable to provide that for all other classes, so 1st-5th grade students must enter through the gym doors. Please feel free to walk them to that outside door. Take a look at our map for a helpful guide for drop-offs in the morning. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Dear Yale community,
As we approach the beginning of school on Thursday, August 13, we would like to send out a quick reminder. At this time, only students and staff will be allowed to enter the elementary and JH/HS buildings. All students, staff, and visitors will be required to wear a face covering when on school property. This will include attending home indoor athletic activities. Thank you for your cooperation.
