YPS is excited to announce that we will be partnering with Central Tech in the 25-26 school year to provide our 7th and 8th grade students a new program. The Explorer program is a new course offered through Central Tech, but held here at Yale Schools.
The course will be part of our daily class schedule. Central Tech will send an instructor to work with our students. The course will focus on career explorations. This is a great opportunity for Yale Public Schools and our students.
I would like to thank Mr. Burris and Ms. Overton from Central Tech for providing this opportunity for YPS. I would also like to thank Ms. Griffin for her work in bringing the program to Yale.

Great job Bulldogs!!

YPS is very proud of our football team and their historic season. Great job by our band and cheerleaders. Thank you to our students, staff, and community for showing up and showing out in support of our kids and school. You created a great home field atmosphere for the playoff games. It would be terrific to continue that level of support for all events.
Friday, December 6 and 13 will both be virtual days. Keep up the good work and let’s all keep working together to support our students, staff, and community.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Go Bulldogs!!

Join us at the elementary on Friday!

Reminder. Have a restful, thankful break! See you in December.

Great job by all of our Yale Bulldogs!! Terrific game by the team, cheerleaders , and band. Fan attendance and participation were awesome. The orange team won the competition between the student sections, but both sections did amazing jobs. V is for victory and virtual. We will have a virtual day after Thanksgiving break. More details will be coming. We will plan a similar competition for next Friday. Go Bulldogs!!

Today is World Kindness Day. Our elementary students enjoyed their kindness assembly. We had three therapy dogs and their handlers visit with our students about how dogs show kindness and forgiveness, and what it means to treat others how you want to be treated.
Thank you to Shane and Scooter, Jamie and Bob, and Heather and Lumos for visiting our school. Students received Be Kind bracelets and a piece of candy to remember to be sweet.

🐾🐾📣📣🏈🏈🐾🐾
In an attempt to build a great atmosphere for our home playoff game YPS has issued a challenge to our students and staff.
Our students and staff have been divided into 2 competing fan sections for the game. One team (even grades) will sit with the band in the black bleachers and wear black and the other will sit in the orange bleachers (odd grades) and wear orange.
The teams are expected to cheer with the cheerleaders, clap along with the band, and be engaged with the game. If the students and staff create a great environment, they could win a virtual day in December. Fans of the game will also be selected and receive prizes.
We expect our students to be respectful to those sitting around them, but just a warning, we have asked them to be as loud as possible!
Community members are invited to be a part of the fun if they’d like to be included and help create the desired home field advantage.

Elementary lunch today - Spaghetti and meatball!

We're trying something new for JH/HS lunch. Meatball subs

Admission to playoff games can be done in 2 different ways. Tickets can be purchased on the GoFan app for $8.35 or tickets can be purchased at the gate for $10. For each ticket that is purchased at the gate, the school will be allowed to keep $3. Kickoff on Friday evening is scheduled for 7:00. WEAR YOUR ORANGE AND BLACK.
GO BULLDOGS!

This semester, Mr. Kennedy and Mrs. Griffin have launched an internship program connecting the high school and elementary school. Each day, high school students are assigned to a teacher and assist in various ways for one class period. Their tasks include working with small groups, helping with classwork, supporting teachers with activities like cutting and laminating, and other classroom duties. The teachers appreciate the extra help, but the elementary students enjoy it even more!

If there are anyone who would like to volunteer their time to work, please reach out to the elementary office. Thank you!

Yale Public Schools honored all the veterans who served in a Veterans Day assembly. Our band, second grade, third grade and many individual students shared their patriotic talents. We had many veterans from our community and families of our students attend. We appreciate all who served: THANK YOU!

26 PAWS from last week. 26!! That's amazing!
